Position: Electrical Engineer-Maintenance

Department: Electrical & Automation

Reporting To: GM – Sales & Services

Location: Navi Mumbai

Criteria: Diploma(Electrical) with 8+ years experience in relevant fields.

Key Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Proficient in alternator winding, excitation systems, and various voltage ranges.

  • Hands-on experience with DC motors, generators, and slip-ring motors.

  • Knowledge of Thyristor/IGBT control panels and main auxiliary switchboards.

  • Experience with ACB overhauling and calibration.

  • Exposure to VCB repairs/service is advantageous.

Key Competencies:

  • Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, alternators, control panels, and safety systems.

  • Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues effectively.

  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous in performing repairs and maintenance tasks.

  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with team members and clients.

  • Organizational Skills: Efficient in managing tasks and priorities within the scope of electrical engineering responsibilities.
     

Key Responsibilities:

  • Alternator Maintenance: Perform winding, excitation system maintenance, and repairs on alternators (AC generators) ranging from 440V to 690V AC and 500 KW to 3,000 KW.

  • High Voltage Systems: Handle maintenance and troubleshooting of 3,300V, 6,600V, and 11,000V AC alternators and excitation systems, including units from 2,500 KW to 10.5 MW.

  • DC Motors and Generators: Repair and maintain DC motors, generators, and slip-ring motors for low voltage applications.

  • Control Panels: Operate and troubleshoot Thyristor/IGBT control panels and systems for DC/AC motors.

  • Switchboards: Manage and maintain main auxiliary switchboards, including knowledge of their operation and components.

  • ACB Services: Overhaul, repair, and calibrate Air Circuit Breakers (ACBs) using primary and secondary current injection methods.

  • Safety Systems: Perform repairs and troubleshooting on engine and generator safety systems.

  • Additional Tasks: Assist with VCB repairs/service and other electrical maintenance tasks as required.
