Position: Engineer- Reliability & Capex

Location: Navi Mumbai- Taloja

Reporting To: Reliability Manager

Criteria: Diploma/ BE (Mechanical) with 7+ years of experience.

Preferred Experience & Knowledge:

  • Well accomplished with SAP, M S Windows, MS office, etc.

  • Good Engineering Practices

  • Read Engg. Drawings, P& ID’s.

  • Hands on experience with Static and rotating equipment such as pumps (single & multistage), compressors, blowers, diesel engines, agitators, reactors, heat exchangers, boilers, furnaces & ovens, cooling towers, other Utilities, material handling & hydraulic systems, fire protection system, pipelines, structures, alignment, etc.

  • Predictive maintenance philosophy with exposure to model tools & gadgets.

  • Well conversant with Root

  • Cause Analysis (RCA/ RCFA),

  • Equipment Criticality Ranking (ECR) & Condition based monitoring technologies like Vibration monitoring,

  • Thermography, Infrared, UltraSound, Motor Circuit Analysis, etc.

  • Excellent Project Management Skills including use ofScheduling tools/ MS Project, etc.

  • Aware of Fabrication & Welding, NDT methods,

  • Generate/ review QAP’s.

  • Exposure to IMS systems.

  • Thorough exposure on Safe work practices i.e. work permits, reporting of work completion & safety.

Job Profile: 

This position is responsible for ensuring the Reliability of Plant Assets & the flawless planning & execution of multi-disciplinary Projects to achieve Time, Quality & Cost Standards. Candidate will be required to be vigilant for the Safety requirements, ensuring Reliable management of the equipment including TPM methodology & implementation as per defined Planner Role requirements, in depth analysis of failures, suggest improvements to enhance the equipment operating life, implementation of the best practices, TPM, etc. to enhance equipment life; also involves developing and implementing reliability improvement initiatives to enhance system performance, reduce downtime, and ensure the reliability of equipment and processes also responsible for managing engineering projects from concept through completion, ensuring they meet technical, financial, and scheduling requirements; Project scope & technicalities and cash flow, coordination with respective departments, timely updating, forecast & Projects reporting.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Reliability Engineering:

 - Conduct reliability assessments and analyses on equipment and systems.

 - Develop and implement reliability improvement strategies and predictive maintenance programs.

 - Perform root cause analysis of failures and implement corrective actions.

 - Utilize reliability engineering tools and methodologies, such as FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis) and RCM (Reliability-Centered Maintenance).

 - Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities for improvement.

 - Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to develop and implement best practices.

2. Project Management:

- Lead and manage engineering projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution.

- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including design, procurement, construction, and quality assurance.

- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and cost estimates.

- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.

- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.

- Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders.

3. SAP Support:

- Provide technical support and guidance to operations and maintenance teams.

- Assist in troubleshooting and reporting in SAP PM module.

- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including manuals, procedures, and reports.

4. Continuous Improvement:

- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability.

- Implement and promote a culture of continuous improvement within the engineering team.

- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and reliability.

5. Compliance and Safety:

- Ensure all engineering activities comply with safety regulations and standards.

- Promote a safety-first culture and lead by example in safety practices.

- Conduct safety audits and risk assessments as required.
