Position:  Lab Technician 

Location: Pune

Criteria: B.E/B.Tech/M.Sc/M.Tech(Polymer/Chemical/Mechanical) with Min 1+ years of experience in the field of Polymer or Adhesive testing laboratory (ISO17025 preferred), or in product development Testing

Reporting to: - Manager-Lab Operation IMEA

Job Purpose: Support to mechanical testing of Adhesive, Testing lab activities, lab maintenance, Test specimen preparation, Documentation as per ISO17025, Lab safety and 5S

Job Description:

Technical Skill & Knowledge: 

  • Customer interaction to understand the customer requirement and their process.

  • Preparation of test plan, test reports and share with customers. Perform the testing as per customer test specification and preparation of detail test report.

  • Develop & design new testing method as per customer requirement.  

  • Generating the test data and preparing the TDS for the new developed product & existing products.

  • Hands-on experience on sample preparation as per standard test method (ISO, ASTM, OEM, etc.)

  • Evaluation of the performances of the global products and identifying their susceptibilities and limits.

  • Mechanical testing of adhesives (Epoxy, PU, Acrylates, and Silicone) by UTM like Tensile, Flexural, Compression, Lap shear, Pin & Collar compressive shear and Peel Strength by using UTM.

  • Expertise in operation of DSC, TGA, DMA, TMA, Rheometer, Viscometer, Posi Tester (pull adhesion tester), Taber Abrasion, Durometer hardness tester, Impact Tester, Cross Hatch tester, QUV, Q-Fog, Salt Spray tester etc.

  • Preparation and maintain the documents as mentioned in the document control procedure in ISO-17025.

  • Test data analysis & interpretation by software like Minitab or other analytical tool. 

  • Maintain calibration & AMC of equipment.

  • Conducting audit for the ISO 17025. 

  • Knowledge of maintaining 5S and HSE compliances
