Position: Manager – HR

Location: Mumbai

Reporting To: India Business Head/ Group Head of HR

Criteria: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field with 10+ years of experience in a global organization and 6+ years of HR field as a generalist,business partner, or talent acquisition

Job Purpose: 

  • Work closely with the Business Head of India and Group Head of HR in developing and implementing key HR initiatives, and managing day-to-day HR functions

  • To plan, manage, monitor, and control all activities of the HR department to ensure that the right people are in the right jobs based on the Company’s and Group’s objectives; harmonious employee relations and effective communication channels are maintained; appropriate training and development programs are in place to ensure that the employees can meet the changing business needs

  • Shape the performance and development of systems for all employees, designing and supporting the Group’s talent management including talent attraction, talent development, and talent retention

  • Ensure all HR duties are undertaken in accordance with employment law, and company policy and ensure any risk to the business is minimized

Responsibilities:

Talent Acquisition

  • Lead the overall expatriate hiring for our Group’s global entities – Nigeria, Ghana, & Kenya and local hiring for the India entity.

  • Oversee the day-to-day management of the recruitment process, including reviewing job descriptions, website advertising, updating the company resource plan

  • Develop the appropriate branding for the company to attract talent Provide direct support for recruitment of senior management positions

  • Identify staffing needs and develop job descriptions when needed

  • Manage all recruitment needs for the company, including implementing and continually developing a robust recruitment and selection process, retention, and employee satisfaction

  • Design, plan, and execute employer branding activities

  • Identify bottlenecks and solutions for the recruiting process

HR Partnering

  • Develop, review, and implement HR policies & procedures, ensure all internal processes are met with local legal compliance and legislation requirement

  • Manage HR Staff Cost budget and continuously evaluate compensation management, performing benchmark compensation analysis regularly for current and future positions.

  • Support and lead the local annual salary review process, and annual budget planning

  • Plan, build and implement short- and long-term strategies that address organizational issues and evaluate the organization’s developmental needs.

  • Help shape the global People strategy that aligns and moves the business towards continued growth,

  • Innovation, and improvement: efficient processes, engaging programs, and use of data and insights

  • Provide day-to-day HR advice and support to the local management team

  • Manage the HR department in order to support all relevant HR administrative functions

  • Provide value-added advice and guidance on organizational development issues

  • Provide sound local legal and best practice advice for all employment-related, performance, and tax matters

Performance Management

  • Develop and administer a fair and objective performance management process aimed at reviewing, motivating, developing employees and forming the basis for annual revisions to compensations and levels (Year beginning, mid-year, and end of year evaluations)

  • Develop, implement, and govern Supersonic job architecture framework including leveling.

Employee Engagement

  • Creatively plan and implement employee engagement strategies. This can include employee activities, talent systems, mentoring programs, succession planning, and more

  • Provide HR support and consultation, answering employee and manager questions about HR programs, policies, and other HR-related items with the team member satisfaction top of mind and priority.

Orientation of new employees

  • Manage new hire orientation and onboarding experiences for new employees

  • Ensure creation of internal company career paths Managing HRIS

  • Ensuring that the entire employee lifecycle – from hire to retirement is captured & managed on the Group’s HRIS portal

  • Ensure that the employee data – current employees & new hire is up to date on the portal
