Position: Technical Service/ Advance Technician
Location: Pune
Department: Application Laboratory
Reporting to: Manager Technology
Criteria: B.Sc(Chemistry) with 4+ Year of experience in the role of an Lab Technician, Technical Service or a plant chemist from the Paint, FRP(fiber reinforced plastic), Composite or Resin industry.
Knowledge, Skills and Personality Traits
- Basic Knowledge -of Polymer Chemistry and Composite process, usage of relevant lab instruments, Computer operations i.e. Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Skills: – Basic laboratory skills - accuracy in weighing, clear and useful documentation, interpretation of the experiment data – ability to analyses, collate, build a hypothesis or a conclusion from the findings and results, ability to coordinate work, effective questioning, decision making, ability to apply learning from diverse and previous situations/ experiments, provide clear direction, ability to work unsupervised
- Personality Traits: – Team Player, disciplined, having no constraints for travelling, determined to seek solutions for problems encountered, Open to new experiences and learning new tools ,quality conscious, knowledge and practice, confident. Able to handle non routine problems and situations, committed to enhancing learning and self-improvement
Job Profile:
- Running Lab Scale synthesis
- Attending customer complaints
- Interact with customers internal & external to provide technical assistance, as well as demonstrate leadership to improve quality efforts at the plant.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs experiments for the Application Laboratory, Sample preparation, Synthesis of resins lab & pilot -20%
- Conduct trials at customers place, execute evaluation of products as per guide lines -20%
- Attending customer complaints and provide solution -20%
- Training and demonstration to customers on our test methods, product performance-10%
- Inspection of the process on pilot plant and quality of finished product-10 %
- Accountable for keeping the lab safe and organized with adequate maintenance of equipment-10%
- Attend trainings for Professional development-5%
- To assist in preparation of Technical Documentation-5%
