Position: Technical Support Manager – India & SEA

Location: Pune

Reporting to: Business Head

Criteria: Bachelor in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, and Materials Engineering degree with 8+ years of Experience preferably in the composite industry.

Other Skills:

  • Delegate tasks to R&D Technicians, (Associate) Scientists or other aids.

  • Manage multiple technical service –and small projects with interfaces to all disciplines within the company 

  • Setting up and maintaining internal and external networks

  • Proven experience with project management and customer relations

  • Expert level knowledge of composites and/or polymer processing

Job Purpose:

The Technical Service Manager (TSM) is the linking pin between customers, the account manager, operations and the R&D team. They manage customer relations from a technical perspective, reports, and maintenances and provide the highest level of customer technical service with adding value-minded attitude while developing lasting customer relationships.  TSM also manage technical service projects facilitating customer retention and adding value to the business. Develop products and product portfolios in line with customer and market wishes and demands. An important part of the role is the handling of customer complaints and enquiries.

Job Responsibilities:-

  • Manage the technical interface with customers and aligned with relevant disciplines, i.e.  Sales, Operations, R&D and Demand chain.

  • Provide technical support to customers with existing or new products (internal trails, analyses, sampling, etc.). 

  • Thoroughly understand the technical needs of our customers and provide technical service in such a way that they will continue to successfully use company products. 

  • Build relationships at all relevant levels of the customer and organization to facilitate short and long term customer technical support. 

  • Organize, investigate, and document and resolve customer technical complaints.

  • Manage changes in portfolio and product specifications towards customers.

  • Initiate, modify, manage, and monitor the implementation of new products and product rationalization.

  • Collect, analyse, and identify opportunities/trends. Cover and benchmark competitor activities, perform technology scouting in relevant segments. 

  • Attend industry wide meetings to broaden and expand technical and customer base information.
