Position:  Technical Services Associate

Department: Technical Services/TAC

Location:  Ahmedabad

Reporting to: Technical Services Manager

Criteria: Candidates with B. E / B. Tech 4 + years of experience in Technical Services /Technical Sales -Glass/Building Material industry/ Laminates/Tile/Ply etc.

Job purpose:

Technical Services Associate (TSA) is part of the TAC department, who will provide the technical assistance to external & internal customers. TSA must perform an important role in resolving customer claims and certification of customer facilities.

Duties and responsibilities

Certification:

  • Audit of new and existing customers 

  • Coordinating with customer/ASM for the requirements on the certification program

  • Audit Report Preparation.

Technical support:

  • Provide technical assistance (Onsite / Remote) for clear and coated glass processing.

  • Coated Glass Handling

  • Heat treatment process

  • IGU & Lamination Process

  • Ceramic frit & bending applications

  • Other glass processing aspects & applications

  • Handling customer voice for being preferred supplier always.

  • Mockup Up supply & Project Execution.

  • Maintaining technical documents. Like, Product Application Notes. 

  • Preparation of letters/certificates required for projects.

  • Heading the fabrication trial while product development with the Science & Technology Centre team.

  • Technical training to the sales team & customers.

Customer service:

  • Customer Voice Handling. Primarily on coated glass complaints & other queries. But supports float & mirror complaints whenever required.

  • Visiting customer’s factory for the investigation process (alone or along with coater team)

  • Communication through phone calls

  • Documentation of the complaints

  • On-site/on phone technical support to the Customers

  • Customer value chain development by sharing knowledge with Customers on Coated products / Safety / 5S / Product storage & handling. Primarily the Processors.

Brand Management: 

  • Mockup: Coordinating with glass processors for stocking of mockup coated products.

  • Coordination with processor & regional commercial team members for mockup sample preparation.

  • Provides assistance on external events, such as exhibitions, seminars, etc.

  • Risk management with respect to brand image.
