Position: Regional Manager - Sales

Location: Chennai

Reporting to: Director - Technical Services

Department: Sales & Marketing

Criteria: Engineering Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Min 10 – 12 years’experience in Industrial MRO product sales

Skills: Planning & Organizing, Administration & Management, Leadership, Communication & Interpersonal skills, Result Orientation, Flexibility

Job Responsibilities:

Brand Management

  • Increase awareness of company’s Products, it's features and benefits across target industries/segments.
  • Representing company’s business policies in various trade fairs and networking events to attract more and more clients to promote the company’s Brands
  • Establish and Enhance the image of organization as a credible, dependable, and responsible MRO products organization which meets all requirements of "Make in India" and provides products and services comparable to any highly reputed international brand.
  • Involvement and participation in Marketing initiatives
  • Competition Analysis - Has clear understanding of competitors for company’s products and develop effective strategy to counter and increase market penetration.
  • Comprehend, analyze problems and prevailing conditions and evolve meaningful solutions for customers to address service needs.

New Market Development

  • Identify target markets and Develop strategies to establish effective and result oriented communication with them.
  • Improve product marketability and profitability by researching, identifying, and capitalizing on emerging opportunities, improving product range and image, coordinating for New Product development internally or identifying new Agencies whenever required.
  • Attract potential customers by answering product and service questions; suggesting information about other products and services
  • Identification and liaison with appropriate authorities and government bodies to promote institutional and core segment selling.
  • Keep up to date with the new requirement in the market, building relationships and keep a tab on all prospect and potential customer base to generate new customers.

Meet Sales Targets

  • Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for Target industries and Market Segments.
  • Prepare and adhere to the Sales Budget for the year, quarterly forecast of sales, monthly sales commitment to ensures yearly sales targets are achieved.
  • Follow-up of all leads through various stages to ensure planned movement.
    Implementing structured sales programs by developing field sales action plans.

Retain and Manage Existing Customers

  • Maintaining long lasting customer relationship.
  • Undertaking customer engagement initiatives
  • Ensures payments terms are such that the working capital requirement is constantly reduced

Services

  • Support clients in all their requirements.
  • Resolves product or service problems by clarifying the customer's complaint; determining the cause of the problem; selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem; expediting correction or adjustment; following up to ensure resolution
  • Initiate and/or implement corrective action as needed in order to ensure that an excellent standard of service and a high level of customer satisfaction is maintained
    Ensures the development and maintenance of standards, policies and procedures regarding customer service
  • Work with all the Business Partners and/or internal colleagues as required, to resolve problems, facilitate solutions and enhance customer service offerings

Identify Product Development / Improvement Needs

  • Explore ways of improving existing products and services, and increasing profitability
    Monitor and Analyze market trends for target business lines.
  • Have complete awareness and knowledge of competitors products and services
    Liaison with other internal departments such as Procurement, Production, R & D etc. to evaluate possibilities of new product as well as improvement in existing products

OEM

  • Identify key OEMs for company’s Products and ensure approval of company’s Brands with key OEMs.
  • Develop and maintain relationship with key OEMs for for all company’s Products
  • Develop plans for improving business for the aftermarket sales for OEMs
  • Development and retention of new OEMs
  • Effective complaint management to ensure sustainable relationship with all OEMs

Team Management

  • Structure the region based on high potential and strategically important clusters, and assign sales team to them.
  • Establish the KRAS of each team member. Monitor, guide, coach and Mentor team to enable them to meet their KRAs and Targets
  • Motivates team and ensures fairness in treatment to every team member
  • Ensure team is well trained in each area in line with set process
  • Ensure appropriate leave planning / approvals of team members such that there is minimal impact on team deliverables
  • Performance appraisals / coaching, regular briefings, disciplinary actions as required Coordinate with HR for all employee related aspects and keep a check on attrition levels within the team _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
