Designation : Sourcing Executive
Location : Andheri, Mumbai
Reporting to : Sales and Marketing Head
Criteria :
B.E/B.Tech(Chemical Engineer) with 3+ years of Experience in purchase and Inventory Management (preferably in a Chemical indz).Degree/Diploma (MM)will be an advantage.
Experience in the vendor management, vendor audits, negotiation and evaluation.
OTHER KEY SKILLS
1. Knowledge of Export/Imports procedures and domestic logistics.
2. Good written & verbal communication skills and good analytical skills.
3. Computer efficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel & Power Point.
JOB PURPOSE
The incumbent is responsible for sourcing of all materials and intermediates as well as all the items required for day to day Plant function. The incumbent will be involved in planning, coordinating, implementing and improving the procurement system.

NATURE AND SCOPE: |
|
Ensure timely availability of materials, negotiate contract terms with vendor, ensuring consistency in purchased materials as per company quality standards, regularly following up with suppliers and maintaining optimum inventories. Assist Sales and Marketing Head in monitoring existing and developing new vendors and improving purchasing systems to meet company’s global standards.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Forecast procurement needs, plan and manage inventory levels of raw materials for production.
- Develop and implement purchasing contracts as per the management’s policies and procedures.
- Source, recommend/select and negotiate for the best purchase package in terms of quality, price, payment terms, deliveries and services with suppliers while maintaining appropriate quality standards and specifications in accordance with company standards.
- Develop and review purchase requests and ensure authorization as necessary to facilitate the timely purchase of new products.
- Plan and manage inventory levels of raw materials and imported finished goods.
- Identify and develop warehousing facility and logistics services in India.
- Arrange air and sea freight and liaise with forwarders on services and costs.
- Monitoring of freight and other levies and ensure that all costs incurred are kept within control.
- Maintain procurement records for statutory requirement.
- Liaise with Finance Department to ensure accurate and timely payment of invoices.
- Ensure vendor compliance and company requirements on safety and statutory regulations.
- Maintain vendor relationships and build effective partnerships.
- Coordinate and carry out vendor audits.
- Analyse problems such as late deliveries, quality defects and seek vendors’ improvement plans when necessary.
