Position: - Finance Controller India - Pharma Segment

Location: -  Mumbai

Reporting to: Director Finance India and SEA

Criteria: -  

Chartered Accountant degree. Additional degree such as MBA Finance / Cost Accountancy from a premier Institute desirable with minimum 8+ years of experience in same.

Technical Skills :

Working knowledge of ERP(SAP ECC) and BPC (preferred but not compulsory, alternatively knowledge of Hyperion or Cognos TM1 is also preferred), strong analytical skills with hands on experience of MS Excel and PowerPoint applications.

Job Purpose:

Responsible for the financial health of the Organization. Producing financial reports AND analysis. Guiding senior executives in making sound business decisions in the short and long term.

Main Task:- 

  • Preparation & analysis of financial statements including cash flow statements under Indian / US GAAP,  conducting variance and root cause analysis from a Budget v/s Actuals and Prior Year v/s Actuals, Prior Estimates v/s Current against Forecasts.
  • Inter-Company accounts balance reconciliation and confirmation.
  • Prepare the Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss account reconciliations for Pharma segment on a monthly basis, 
  • Monitor the Working Capital with special emphasis on inventory, receivables and payables including ageing analysis and also obsolete inventory liquidation process in India
  • Conducting analysis and ensuring expenses have been correctly recorded.
  • Preparing Cost Centre wise Reports [Handling expense reports (by department)], and providing those reports to each department together with appropriate recommendations.
  • Undertake Gross Margin Analysis, prepare Bridge containing reconciliation of Budget v/s Actuals and Prior Year v/s Actuals containing Price / Volume / Product Mix (Sales & Cost of sales) Variances and SGNA costs analysis by Cost Centre on a monthly basis
  • Build, Document and Oversee the Internal controls (environment) including leading SOX Function for Pharma segment
  • Support quarterly calculation for Price Increases / decrease and ensure that a robust process is put in place to evaluate market / competition pricing reviews along with Marketing and Sales teams.
  • Support product costing and preparation of Business Cases, new projects etc. and also on ongoing price correction initiatives. Lead Profitability analysis for review of ROI and ROIC for past Business cases and ongoing Business requirements.
  • Prepare Consolidated P&L and Balance Sheet of existing company and NewCo for Pharma segment as and when reporting is initiated

Additional responsibilities:

  • Support Director Finance India and SEA in any special projects and for any adhoc analysis required in the areas of Controlling, Reporting, Business Planning and Budgeting areas for SEA region.
  • Present financial reports to board members, stakeholders, executives, and clients in formal meetings
  • Lead the extension of configuration for the Molding business to the existing Aptar1 template.
  • Support Aptar1 S4/Hana implementation across the company
  • Support the accounting, controlling and reporting requirements of the NewCo
