About Client: MNC-Manufacturing into Specialty Chemicals

(Please note: This position is on a 3rd -party payroll, with a contract duration of 9–12 months)

Position: Lab Technician

Location: Pune

Reporting To:  Analytical Lead

Criteria: BSc/MSc in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related field, with a minimum of 6 months of experience in an analytical laboratory. Experience in an adhesives laboratory is preferred.

Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with analytical instruments (HPLC, GC-MS, UV, FTIR, GPC etc.).

  • Proven ability to work independently with strong initiative and minimal supervision.

  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working in cross-cultural and cross-functional global teams engaging with stakeholders.

  • Knowledge of laboratory safety standards and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform chemical and physical analysis of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products using standard analytical techniques.

  • Operate and maintain laboratory instruments such as HPLC, GC-MS, UV-Vis spectrophotometer, FTIR, DSC, GPC, TGA, Rheometer, TMA, DMA, KF and other relevant equipment.

  • Prepare reagents, standards, and samples according to SOPs and test methods.

  • Record and maintain accurate test data in laboratory notebooks and electronic systems.

  • Ensure compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), safety guidelines, and company quality standards.

  • Assist in calibration and preventive maintenance of laboratory instruments.

  • Support troubleshooting of analytical methods and participate in method validation activities.

  • Maintain inventory of chemicals, consumables, and laboratory supplies.

  • Collaborate and communicate with cross functional teams

  • Safety & Compliance: Perform all laboratory work safely, adhering to regulations of safety, health and environment, PPE requirements and 5S processes. Support compliance and requirements for audit purposes (ISO, customer specific audits, etc).
